The Thai New Year Songkran Festival is a vibrant celebration of Thai culture, held annually in the heart of Thai Town along Hollywood Boulevard.

Highlights of the Thai New Year.celebration include cultural performances: including traditional Thai dances, live music, and Muay Thai (Thai boxing) demonstrations, 
food and vendors, a parade, and The Miss Songkran USA Beauty Pageant.

Songkran traditionally features water-splashing activities, symbolizing purification, renewal, and washing away bad luck; the Hollywood event captures the spirit of Songkran with water play and religious ceremonies such as traditional offerings to Buddhist monks, water blessings, and activities promoting Thai traditions.

The Songkran Festival / Thai New Year celebration is located on Hollywood Blvd between Western Ave and Normandie Ave in Thai Town, the cultural hub for the Thai-American community in Los Angeles.
