If your children are passionate about music or dance or curious to try it for the first time, they have a home at the Colburn School! An internationally renowned performing arts school located in the heart of Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles, the Colburn School provides the highest quality music and dance education to students at all levels of development, from those about to embark on professional careers to students just beginning their artistic journey.

Registration is open for summer camps, intensives and classes.

Summer music camps, dance camps, intensives, and classes allow musicians and dancers to enhance their skills with expert instruction from Colburn’s esteemed faculty and an array of renowned guest artists.  Programs run in June and July and include ballet, tap, modern dance, piano, guitar, chamber music, jazz, voice, brass, saxophone, Los Angeles Honor Band, Dalcroze education, and more. Classes start from age 7 months and camps start from 7 years, so there is something for everyone.

Year-Round Dance Programs:
Led by a renowned faculty made up of some of the most exceptional former professional dancers in the industry, the Trudl Zipper Dance Institute at the Colburn School is dedicated to developing the individual gifts and talents of each of their students, from pre-school children to pre-professional dancers in the Dance Academy.

The school provides world-class training for students of all abilities from ages 4 to adult, in:

Early childhood music classes from ages 7 months–6 years introduce children to the wonders of the performing arts, and private lessons, group classes, and ensemble programs are available from age 5 through to adult, for all levels of experience.
