Lace Up and Race For a Cause with the Post Office Cafe
In addition to a 3.1-mile course, this race offers a 1K fun run for families!
Registration and check-ins begin at 8 a.m. at The Post Office Café. The 1K fun run begins promptly at 9:30 a.m., and the 5K at 10 a.m.
Participants may register online at http://bit.ly/2OyJpB4 or by mail by printing the application and mailing to Post Office Café, 130 West Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702. The course is 3.1 miles – fast, flat and scenic. The race begins in the heart of the Babylon Village and continues through country roads overlooking the Great South Bay. The finish line is behind The Post Office Café in the municipal parking lot.
The Post Office Cafe is hosting the 27th Annual Race for MPS on Saturday, October 20th in celebration of Mark and Casey Lessing. Proceeds from the race will benefit the National MPS Society, Inc.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female runners. In addition, awards will be given to the top three runners in eleven different age groups. A special award will be given to the first male and first female Babylon Village residents to cross the finish line.
Pre-registration, prior to October 7, costs $13 for the fun run and $25 for the 5K. Cost to register after October 7 is $15 for the fun run and $30 for the 5K. Online registration closes on Thursday, October 19 at midnight, thereafter, runners must register in-person at The Post Office Café.
