- see all dates
Seiskaya Ballet’s The Nutcracker offers riveting choreography, lavish costumes, and scrumptious sets, which are the hallmark of this enchanting Nutcracker at The Staller Center.
Seiskaya Ballet returns to the Stony Brook University’s Center for the Arts for six performances. A truly international collaboration; with sets and costume design by Poland’s Margaret Piotrowska, scenery execution by Scenic Art Studio, Inc. of Broadway fame, sculptures by renowned artist Matt Targon and choreographed by noted Russian-born Valia Seiskaya, are all set to the background of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s most famous score.
The cast will be led by former Milwaukee Ballet standout, guest artist, Darren McIntyre as the regal Cavalier plus Seiskaya’s award winning Principal Dancers Brianna Jimenez and Lara Caraiani and First Soloists Eva Pyrros, Julia Virnelli, Jordan Jaramillo and Rachel Bland. With no obstructed views and a steep rake, you will feel like you are on stage.
