A wide variety of native and non-native wildflower species can be found here on the South Fork, if you know when and where to look for them. Join SOFO for a short walk to observe the beauty and variety of our wildflowers.

Long Island’s roadsides explode with color from blooming wildflowers in late spring and early summer. Often viewed as roadside weeds by people, wildflowers are an important source of food for insects and small mammals.
