Head to the Longwood Public Library to pick up a bird counting packets starting February 1.

For four days in February, everyone is invited to spend time in their favorite places watching and counting as many birds as they can find and reporting them. You don’t even have to go outside — you can count the birds you see on your feeder while looking out the window!

Families can prepare by attending the Backyard Birds program on February 16.

Tally sheets from the Bird Counting Packet should be returned to the library by February 27 to be included in our bird count and to earn a badge equal to one raffle ticket for the Winter Reading Club.
