Families are invited to celebrate National Puppy Day with one of the biggest puppies of all time—a BIG RED DOG named CLIFFORD. There are scavenger hunts, visits with CliffordTM, and a bone-ified art project.
Friday, March 22: The museum will offer a Storybook Theatre reading of “Clifford’s Puppy Days” at 11 a.m. followed by a visit from K9 Obey Dog Training, who will provide an obedience training demonstration at 11:15 a.m.
Saturday, March 23: Museum visitors will have a chance to show some love to dogs and puppies in their own community. Operation Pets Alive!, an area animal rescue organization, will be at the museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with pets in need of homes.
To protect the health and safety of the museum’s costumed performers, Clifford the Big Red Dog will limit appearances to 15-minute stays. While the museum staff will do their best to accommodate as many patrons as possible, they will not be able to extend the appearance times.
