This 4th of July holiday, head to the Animal Shelter to read aloud, play music, or simply chat with a shelter animal amidst all of the normal holiday festivities and chaos.

Lonestar Animal Welfare League will sponsor FREE microchips at MCAS on July 4th.

$5.00 admission per person includes a "backyard BBQ meal", refreshments and admission to read. There will be photographers for the event as well.

Everyone attending is urged to bring a folding chair if possible, otherwise - blankets will be provided.
