Earth Day with Memorial Park Conservancy
Celebrate Earth Day at Memorial Park! You can plant and take home your own wildflowers, go plogging, embark on a kid-friendly scavenger hunt, take hikes, and more.
Schedule of Activities:
10am-2pm: Plant and take home wildflowers, meet members of the Conservation team, learn about soil in the park, and go plogging (picking up little while jogging!).
10am: Memorial Park 101: Kids Edition. Explore Memorial Park's wooded hiking trails for an hour-long guided scavenger hunt. For children ages 8-12. Parents are encouraged to attend the hike with their child.
12pm: Join MPC staff for an hour-long hike on the Southside wilderness trails to learn about the BioCycle program.
The Earth Day Celebration will be set up in Picnic Area #1 in Picnic Loop (the first Picnic Area as you come into Picnic Loop). Parking is available in the ballfields lot and in Picnic Loop.
