Hands-On Houston: Fall Festival Houston Center for Contemporary Craft
This year, the fall festival celebrates HCCC’s Artist Residency Program through hands-on activities and craft demonstrations led by current and former resident artists. The event is free, and all ages are welcome!
At the festival, visitors can enjoy the following activities:
**Create a mixed-media house collage with Perata Bradley
**Make a Day of the Dead clay talisman with Gabo Martinez
**Make a pin button with Jamie Sterling Pitt
**Watch craft demonstrations by resident artists
**See the new exhibition, In Residence: 17th Edition
**Purchase food and refreshments from Moon Rooster food truck
PARKING: The HCCC parking lot will be blocked off for activities, but street parking is available nearby.
The HANDS-ON HOUSTON FALL FESTIVAL is a super-sized version of HANDS-ON HOUSTON, a free, craft-activity open house on the first Saturday of every month (11 AM – 3 PM). Each month, a teaching artist demonstrates a craft related to current exhibitions and events at HCCC. Families and visitors of all ages are welcome, and materials are provided.
