Gingerbread Lane at the Houston Farmers Market
- see all dates
Except December 25, 2023, January 1, 2024.
Houston Farmers Market is ready for the magic of the holiday season with GingerBread Lane, a free gingerbread display featuring whimsical gingerbread houses and intricately made sculptures.
This festive display is crafted by Jon Lovitch, who holds the Guinness World Record for the “largest entirely edible gingerbread village,” and was featured by the NY Times and ABC News for his unique process and product. Jon builds his gingerbread villages throughout the year and will use approximately 311 pounds of gingerbread; 1,250 pounds of icing; 380 pounds of candy; 2,300 sticks of gum; 1,200 eggs; 12,000 assorted jellybeans; and 20,000 M&Ms to build the Houston Farmers Market display, “The 12 Days of Texas.”
Kids and families are invited to visit the impressive gingerbread village as well as partake in workshops where they too can build their gingerbread houses like a pro.
