Celebrate the legacy and contributions of the African American community during February Black History Month at Children's Museum Houston.

Saturday, February 4:

Drumming Circle - At 11 am and noon in the Kids' Hall Alcove. Listen to the sounds of the Mother Land as Joy of Djembe Drumming ensemble performs.

‍Br’er Rabbit by The Ensemble Theatre -At 1:30 pm in the Auditorium. Br’er Rabbit is a fun-packed combination of African American Folklore and American popular culture.

‍Pan African Passport by Kucheza Ngoma Dance Company -2 pm and 3 pm in Kid's Hall Alcove.  Through colorful drumming and dance, Kucheza Ngoma Dance Company chronicles the influence of the African dispora on dance.

Sunday February 5:

‍Music Workshops with Soulliaa Rae - At 1 and 2 pm in the Auditorium

‍Ministry in Motion - At 2:30 pm in the Auditorium. Enjoy a lively dance performance.
