Head to the heart of downtown with Buffalo Bayou Partnership and discover the history of Buffalo Bayou and Houston!

This engaging walking tour recounts / explores the development of the city we know today through an exploration of architecture, ecology, public art, and more. Experience fascinating historic buildings, witness the formation of a new Mexican Free-tailed Bat colony, and uncover a few local secrets all along the unique bayou trails winding through downtown Houston.

Every first Saturday of the month through December 2025 (9/6, 10/4, 11/1, 12/6)

Meeting Location: Allen’s Landing at Main St (1005 Commerce St)

Comfortable clothing, good walking shoes and sun protection, and a water bottle are recommended.
