The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University invites the Houston community to celebrate its 50th Anniversary Community Day with a FREE, family-friendly event featuring live performances, interactive activities, and a special bilingual concert of “Peter and the Wolf” with the Shepherd School Chamber Orchestra at 11 am.
 

The fun continues after the concert from 12-2 pm:

Instrumental and vocal performances by Shepherd students on The Concert Truck and beyond, including the Rice Chorale, a harp ensemble & string quartet

Behind-the-scenes tours of Brockman Hall for Opera

Interactive experiences - learn to conduct & live music lab

Face painting, giveaways, food trucks, games & more
 

The Shepherd School of Music is located on Rice University’s campus. This event is free, including parking when you register in advance.
