More than 95 children’s book authors and illustrators are scheduled to participate at this fifth annual event making it among the largest children’s book festivals in the metropolitan region. The event features book readings, signings, and food for purchase.
The Festival, promoting community and literacy, will have authors covering multiple genres and reading levels, author readings, illustrator demos, book signings, books for sale, “Food For Thought” food trucks, and The Great Chappaqua Bake Sale selling baked treats and raffle tickets to benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry mission to end childhood hunger. A portion of book sales will go to benefit JCY-WCP literacy programs in schools throughout Westchester, as well as to underwrite a new program in an elementary school in Ossining.
Voted “Best Bookworm Event” by Westchester Magazine and written up in Publisher's Weekly, the Huffington Post and other notable publications.
Admission and parking are FREE, and the event is rain or shine.
