Cyclists, joggers, walkers, in-line skaters, and scooters can take to the open road on Sundays when the Bronx River Parkway is closed to motorized vehicles for a 13.1-mile stretch from Main Street in White Plains to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers.
New for 2021:
- The White Plains endpoint is now Main Street, rather than the Westchester County Center. However, parking is available in the east lot of the County Center.
- Prior to COVID-19, Bicycle Sundays was not offered in July and August; however, in 2021, the program runs continuously through the end of October. The program is suspended on holiday weekends for Memorial Day weekend, July 4, Labor Day weekend, and Columbus Day weekend.
Masks and proper social distancing are required, as are helmets for children under the age of 14, per New York State mandates. Skateboards, headsets, and dogs are not permitted. View the County's website for additional requirements.
A Westchester County Parks program, Bicycle Sundays is sponsored by Con Edison, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, the Westchester Parks Foundation, and Danny’s Cycles.
