The Children's Tree Montessori School Curriculum Night
Have you ever wondered what Montessori is all about? The Montessori Method of education was developed in Italy by Dr. Maria Montessori over 100 years ago.
The method is a child-centered scientific educational approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole child: physical, social, emotional, and cognitive. The certified teachers guide the students through the process of choosing self-directed, hands-on activities. Students learn concepts from working with the materials.
Montessori Curriculum Night is held annually at Children's Tree Montessori School to help parents and those interested in the philosophy to better understand how a Montessori student spends their day. This year's focus is on the Montessori Language Curriculum.
After an introduction to Montessori learning principles, certified teachers will lead tours so parents can see the continuum of the material’s progression through the levels, from toddler through 6th grade.
The workshop is free and open to the public.
Dinner and childcare are offered for $15 per family.
