New England Academy of Dance Presents The Nutcracker
- see all dates
The Nutcracker is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season with the entire family. Experience the New England Academy of Dance's annual production of The Nutcracker--a feast for the eyes and ears with colorful and imaginative costumes paired with Tchaikovsky’s original score, which will be performed live by the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra.
This show features over 150 local dancers, accompanied by the pre-professional dancers of The New England Dance Theater and Professional dancers from in and around New York.
In addition, younger children in particular may be interested in the Sugar Plum Tea Party, where you can join the Sugar Plum Fairy & other characters from the Land of Sweets before or after the Children’s Show. Dance with the characters, decorate a gingerbread cookie, enjoy treats from the Land of Sweets, and take pictures with the Sugar Plum Fairy and her friends. The Tea will be held at the Wagner Room located in New Canaan High School at 9:45am – 10:45am or 12:15pm – 1:15pm. Tickets are $40 per child.
