In this engaging workshop, founder and Executive Director of MEDIAGIRLS (www.mediagirls.org) Michelle Cove will help parents and girls better understand how girls are influenced, for better and worse, by Instagram, Snapchat, and other popular apps. Many of us know that social media is addictive, and often makes girls feel lonelier, more anxious, and more insecure. The idea of changing it can feel daunting at best. MEDIAGIRLS teaches girls to think critically about what the media content they're consuming, and how to take advantage of their numbers on social media to create a more empowering culture. In this engaging, interactive workshop, Michelle provides a roadmap of concrete strategies for parents and girls to help us get there. Free of Charge | Registration Required
