The Center’s Nature Museum provides a glimpse of the natural diversity found outdoors on the White Memorial Foundation’s 4,000-acre wildlife sanctuary, the largest privately held sanctuary in Connecticut!

The Museum features hand-painted and photographic murals, dioramas, a Children’s Corner, live animals, a working honeybee hive, unique exhibits such as “The Art of Taxidermy,”

After you visit the museum, get outside! Enjoy the beauty of this exquisite wildlife sanctuary, take a walk, or run, take a nap in the shade of a tree! View Connecticut's largest natural lake, the Bantam. Walk around the sparkling Little Pond's 1 mile boardwalk or enjoy a picnic lunch on one of the picnic tables scattered around the museum grounds.

History buffs!

Got a smartphone with a QR scanner? Investigate the relics of one of New England's ice houses. The Icehouse trail's 8 QR code stops will provide the back-story of this once, oh so important, resource.

Come on out to the beauty of Connecticut's Northwest corner, relax and inhale some of the finest air around, you will not be disappointed!

Visit White Memorial Conservation Center’s YouTube Channel and enjoy a short video about the museum and over 200 video shorts about everything nature! CTwhitememorial
