Lyman Orchards' Strawberry Fest
The annual Lyman Orchards Strawberry Fest kicks off the summer event season, celebrating family fun.
Activities include breakfast, strawberry picking in the orchard, live music, free food tastings and demos, pie eating contests, face painting, pony rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, and interactive activities for children throughout the day. Plus, Bruno Bros. will be making their delicious Kettle Corn throughout the event. For adults, try the new 1741 Colonial Crisp Hard Apple Cider.
Middlefield's own Presley & Taylor, who are already recognized as the next generation of country music , will perform with their dynamic vocal delivery and song selection. Original material such as their recent single, “Heart Over Mind” featurinh Pam Tillis or “Tall, Dark and Lonesome,” penned by country music hall of famer Bill Anderson, coupled with crowd favorites like, "Jolene" and "Fishing in the Dark," forge a true country sound that is unmistakable to fans.
Hannah Sjostrom, the 2019 American Honey Queen, will visit uand talk about the importance of honeybees to Connecticut agriculture.
