This Christmas Village features individual rooms to meet both Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, a Toy Shop with Elves hard at work, Reindeer, Seasonal Lights & Displays, and of course Hot Chocolate. 

In 1948 Carl Bozenski, Torrington’s Parks and Recreation Supervisor, invited Santa Claus to spend the three weeks before Christmas at Alvord Playground. Along for the trip from the North Pole came Santa’s reindeer and his helpers. Since that time, Santa has returned here each year. The hours on Christmas Eve will be 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Mrs. Claus will again be visiting Christmas Village this year and will be greeting visitors in her special room. The Christmas Village will be open through Christmas Eve.
