Skill Builders Club is an enrichment program for children going into grades 1-3 (ages 6-9) designed to build literacy and numeracy skills via stories, games, and hands-on activities taught by a certified teacher.
Four learning “themes” will span the sessions of the program. Each session will feature a read aloud, mini lesson, and then skill building games facilitated by teen volunteers.
Themes:
1. Storytelling and Problem Solving
2. Art, Geometry, and Patterns
3. Making Predictions/Reasoning
4. Brain Teasers/Puzzles
