One-time classes in nature held by Woodcock Nature Center. Get hands-on!
- Nature Craftin' on the Weekend (Grades 3-6) Saturday, October 25 1 - 3 pm
Do you like animals and art? Join Woodcock for this Saturday program where kids will meet one of our resident animals and create a super cool art project inspired by that animal.
- Nighttime Wonders: Owl Prowl (Grades 3-6) Friday, October 10 6 - 8 pm
Join Woodcock for a special evening adventure and explore the woods at night and learn about native owls. During the guided hike, listen for their unique calls—and if lucky, some wild owls may even respond to the recorded ones! After the hike, gather around the campfire for games, s’mores, and cozy fun before heading home.
- Shelter Builders (Grades 3-6) Saturday, October 18 1 - 3 pm
- Love hands-on activities in nature? In this fun and active program, learn how to build shelters using natural materials found outdoors. Then gather what is needed, choose the perfect spot, and work together to construct temporary shelters designed to protect against the elements. The best part? Students will get to test their creations by climbing inside while our educators pour water over the roof to see how well they hold up!
