Children entering grades 3-5 will explore Windsor history in our hands-on history workshops. Start a fire, churn butter, make bricks, and explore ancient burying grounds with our team of talented educators.

• Monday, August 5, Windsor’s First People. Who lived in Windsor first, and how did they live? Learn about the region’s Indigenous people by participating in activities of their daily lives.
• Tuesday, August 6, Annie’s Home: Growing Up in Early Windsor. What was it like to be nine years old back in the day? Prepare food, churn butter, write with a quill pen, and more!
• Wednesday, August 7, History Detectives. From archives to cemeteries, learn how historians solve historical mysteries and piece together the story of Windsor’s past.
• Thursday, August 8, A Day in the Life of Primus Manumit, Windsor’s first Black Doctor. Learn about the lives of Windsor’s early Black residents and explore 18^th-century science and medicine by exploring a doctor’s office, making a remedy, and more!
• Friday, August 9, Bricks, Bales, and Barges: Making a Living in Windsor. Get your hands dirty and make some bricks, farm, and navigate Windsor’s locks to understand the many ways Windsor’s people worked and lived in the past.

$100 per child for the full week or $25 per day. Advanced registration required. Maximum 12 children per day.
