At Camp MoCA CT, young artists have a creative and engaging summer camp experience. Campers explore diverse art styles and renowned artists, delving into themes of self-expression, family, community, sustainability, and cultural diversity. Its goal is to foster a love of art and creativity while helping young artists develop character-building traits. Campers have the unique opportunity to experience art first hand in an immersive and experiential museum atmosphere.
Camp MoCA is a fully accredited day camp for children ages 4-10, with full-day (9 AM - 3 PM) and half-day (9 AM - 12:30 PM) options available. Its camp is held indoors in air-conditioned classrooms and outdoors, weather permitting. On a typical day, campers move through art lessons, immersive exhibition time, outdoor activities, gardening, storytime and collaborative games. On Fridays, parents and caregivers are invited to the student art show in our museum lobby.
Camp hosts local musicians, scientists and theater arts guests. It has specific plans to diversify instruction to meet the developmental needs of campers.
Camp MoCA CT is the perfect opportunity for parents to give their children a summer experience they will never forget.
