Heave Ho! The Special Olympics and the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run have teamed up to bring you the most extreme tug of war challenge.

The 11th annual O'Hare plane pull will pit teams of up to 20 people against either a UPS Airbus A300 or a United Airlines 737. These planes weigh almost 90 tons. 

Live music will be provided by Cover Story Band. Food and beverages will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics. Be sure to visit the kid's zone featuring the WTTW Kids Big Idea Traveling Lab performance and BDI Playhouse Therapy. Chicago Police and Fire will offer public safety display including a SWAT vehicle and fire truck. There will also be games, raffles, and a photo booth.

The event will be located on the southwest side of the airport at the United Airlines Cargo Facility. The event site is located off of Irving Park Rd. near Bensenville. Individuals with strollers or limited mobility can be dropped off at the event site. All parking will be off-site because of construction in the area. Shuttles will be available beginning at 7:30 am and run through the end of the event.
