Skaters of all ages can glide across the ice in Elmhurst City Centre at the YMCA's ice rink. The rink has been in use since 1961, and has hosted a robust hockey league for more than 50 years. Men, women, and children as young as 3 can participate in skating or hockey classes at the rink.

Open skate schedule is as follows:

Tuesdays: 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. (adult skate), 3:05-4:35 p.m.

Thursdays: 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. (adult skate)

Fridays: 7:00-8:15 p.m. (family skate), 8:30-9:45 p.m.

Saturdays: 1:50 p.m. to 3:20 p.m.

Sundays: 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Special hours are available on school holidays.
