Westchester celebrates Juneteenth with two days of events. On Thursday, June 19, begin the day with a symbolic 1-mile Freedom Walk through the heart of the community, starting at Grace Central Church and ending at Village Hall. The route will take participants from Grace Central → Kitchner → Suffolk → Roosevelt → Village Hall, where the walk concludes with a powerful Juneteenth flag-raising ceremony. After the ceremony, explore a curated book display by the Westchester Public Library and try some tasty refreshments from Sha-Poppin' Gourmet Popcorn! On June 21, families can visit Gladstone Park for live entertainment, delicious food vendors, line dancing, kids activities, and more.
