This kids triathlon kicks off the Chicago Triathlon weekend.

The swim portion takes place in Lake Michigan at Foster Beach. The bike and run portions take place on closed roads and bike paths along the lake. The race is open to boys and girls ages 7-14 and draws more than 1,000 young athletes every year. The course is wheelchair friendly and para-athletes are invited to join the event.  This race also includes a new, noncompetitive, Family and Friends division. Parking options for athletes and spectators include the Wilson and Montrose parking lots and street parking on Lawrence Ave. and Wilson Ave.
