The Music Institute of Chicago brings back a holiday tradition with “Duke It Out!,” featuring the classical (Tchaikovsky) and jazz (Duke Ellington/Billy Strayhorn) versions of The Nutcracker in a music and dance performance. 

Music performers featured include members of Braeburn Brass and Music Institute of Chicago Ensemble-in Residence, Quintet Attacca. 

The performance is a family-friendly 60 minutes in length. There are two shows, one at 10 a.m. and a musical instrument petting zoo will follow.
