Brookfield Zoo Chicago Boo at the Zoo
- see all dates
Kids can trick or treat with the animals at Brookfield Zoo at this not-so-scary event during the three weeks leading up to Halloween. Other weekend activities include giant pumpkin carving, a Halloween craft, cupcake and cookie decorating, a haunted hayride, a creepy cowboy carousel, a corn maze, a pumpkin smasher, a costume parade, and a costume contest.
Zookeepers will give special chats about Halloween-related critters such as bats, spiders, owls, scorpions, wolves, snakes, and ravens. For the first time ever, Boo! at the Zoo will host an art fair each Sunday in October, where guests can purchase artworks that celebrate themes of animals, conservation, education, and the natural world, reinforcing the Zoo's mission to foster a deeper connection to nature.
