"I Noche Blanca de la Ciencia" (First White Night of Science)

Instituto Cervantes Chicago (31 W. Ohio St.) and in association with Spanish Professionals in Chicago (PEC), and Women in Bio, Chicago (WIB) and the Association of Spanish Scientists in the United States (ECUSA) presents "I Noche Blanca de la Ciencia" (First White Night of Science), a free STEM event for the whole family 4-9 p.m. Nov. 15 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Nov.16
This event is aimed at motivating children between 6-12 years old to learn about science by providing a chance to engage with renowned scientists from different backgrounds in a fun-filled atmosphere. The program includes talks in Spanish* and English, interactive workshops, and more.
Topics include “How Materials Engineering and Science Help in the Reforestation of the Coral Reef” (Joaquín Yus, PhD-University Urbana-Champaign); Horus XV: “From Spain to the Space: Exploring the terrain and life in the space of a 'can’; " “Know and explore the Artificial Intelligence: The potential of the future?” (José Martínez, PhD-CCC Intelligent Solutions); “Living in the atmosphere of a Star” (Keynote Speaker: Teresa Nieves, PhD-NASA) and more.
