Cambridge Carnival International is a celebration rooted in African traditions featuring live music, ethnic foods, and crafts from around the world.
The highlight of the festival is a grand costume parade during which revelers dance through the streets of Cambridge in handmade costumes. The parade route spans 1.3 miles, starts at 12:30pm sharp on Blackstone Street between Western Avenue and River Street near the Charles River. The parade runs up River Street, passes through Central Square along Massachusetts Avenue, continues up Main Street and ends in Kendall Square near MIT, Cambridge.
