Opera On Tap: Buzzing B’s and High C
Celebrate the pollinators who make flowers bloom and fruit grow at this lively community event blending science, music, and fun.
Presented by Opera on Tap Boston, the afternoon features live opera and musical theatre performances set against the backdrop of the Growing Center’s vibrant garden.
Families can explore pollination through hands-on craft activities, a guided garden tour, and educational booths led by Growing Center volunteers. Learn how to support pollinators at home—whether you're a fan of bees, moths, or black digger wasps.
Kids are encouraged to wear butterfly wings or craft their own pollinator headbands on site. With performances highlighting the beauty of the natural world, this event welcomes all ages to discover the harmony between music and nature.
Supported by the Somerville Arts Council, the Mass Cultural Council, and the Somerville Garden Club.
