Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror
The 1922 silent film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror will be shown with a live performance of the original score for theater orchestra, played on historical instruments from the early 20th century, including harmonium, flute, clarinet, and strings.
From Max Schreck’s corpse-like portrayal of Count Orlok to the haunting staircase shot at the film’s climax, Nosferatu set the standard for modern horror and established the genre of vampire films. As the earliest adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula for the screen, it remains the source of many iconic elements of vampire lore.
Perfect for horror fans, music lovers, and vintage film enthusiasts alike, this event offers the rare chance to experience Nosferatu as it would have been seen and heard at its first screenings.
