Newton 4th of July Celebration
Spend the day celebrating Independence Day featuring live music, a kids parade, and free ice cream courtesy of Cabot's farm. There will be carnival attractions starting at 10 am; fireworks start at 9:15.
Kids Morning:
Children and families are invited to join in the Patriotic Costume Parade, Grand Pet Promenade, Decorated Bicycle Parade, make a July 4th parade wand at the arts/crafts table and more. FREE ice cream courtesy of Cabot’s Ice Cream.
Kids Morning is canceled in the event of rain.
Afternoon/Evening:
The fun continues with a carnival featuring kiddie amusement rides, local business vendor booths, handmade craft fair, live musical entertainment at the gazebo, and food trucks. At 3pm gather at the gazebo to enjoy the music of the Bay Colony Brass.
Newton’s own Kat Chapman and her band mate and co-producer Chris Leadbetter fire up the main stage at 5:30pm. Come early to save your space in the field. At 7pm things really kick up with the headliner band East Coast Soul bringing the crowd to their feet dancing and singing till dark. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket, grab food from one of the food trucks, and enjoy the open space under the stars. At 9:10 pm, the grand finale…a fantastic fireworks display!
No rain date.
