Come join the Making It Up Collective for a unique event featuring a nationally touring one-woman circus show about motherhood, an art exhibition, and a collaborative/communal artmaking activity!

This event features the work of Boston area artists Shir Livne, Anna Pancoast, Bosede Ajibola Opetubo, Catherine LeComte Lecce, and Jocelyn Elizabeth, bound by their shared experiences walking the tightrope of motherhood and creative practice without a safety net. Reflecting the spontaneity, creativity and curiosity that define both parenting and artmaking, this three-day celebration weaves together live performance, visual art and collaborative creation.

7PM – 8:15PM: MOM* Circus Show
8:15PM – 9PM: Stay for a brief communal closing or to view the exhibition after the show.

Circus Show (MOM*):

MOM* shines a light on the inner thoughts that we have as potential mothers, stepmothers, bio-moms, and children of mothers. What did we expect things to feel like, and how do they actually feel? Shir Livne (trained by Cirque du Soleil acrobats!) shares her truths in this tour de force solo performance, presenting her absurdist take on motherhood through circus, storytelling, and pages upon pages of fiery teenage journals. 

General admission is $35; sliding scale tickets are also available ($5 and up).
