Sun Feb 26, 2023
10:00am to 2:00pm ET
Age: 5 and up
Price: $9/$15: Member Child/Adult, $15/$25 Nonmember Child/Adult
Location:
Chestnut Hill Farm
Check out the annual Maple Tree Tap-a-Thon at Chestnut Hill Farm. This special family event is led by Trustees ranger, Will Leona, who will show guests how to identify maple trees on the farm, how maple sap runs and share the history of tapping.
Each family group will set a tap to get the farm’s maple flowing! Attendees will go home with instructions on how to tap maple trees at home and how to make syrup.
Note: while this event is scheduled for 2/26, we may need to postpone it to a later date If tapping conditions aren’t ideal, due to the unpredictable nature of the weather.
