Going to Ground: Brick-Making Party
Join The Greenway Public Art Team and artist LaRissa Rogers for a soil brick-making party and workshop. Participants will get their hands dirty, learn the process of making adobe bricks from soil, and work together in teams to create 4-6 bricks that will be used to activate Rogers’ public sculpture, Going to Ground. Snacks and music will be provided, as well as project posters and stickers.
The bricks will be utilized in activations of the sculpture, which will be on view at The Greenway starting in late August 2024.
Participation is free, but spots are limited. Folks can sign-up and reserve a spot via Eventbrite beginning Wednesday, July 3rd. Eventbrite links will be posted to The Greenway calendar event page and to our social media account (@greenwaypublicart).
For more information or for additional questions, please reach out to Public Art Intern, Taija-Rayne Franklyn: tfranklyn@rosekennedygreenway.org.
