It's the 84th Annual Boston Common Tree Lighting! Hosted by Mayor Michelle Wu, with special appearances by Santa and Rudolph. The ceremony includes lighting Boston's official Christmas tree and trees through the Commons and Public Garden. 

The holiday lights throughout both parks will light up shortly before 8 pm. The ceremony will include the lighting of the Commonwealth Avenue Mall. 2025 marks the 53rd year that Nova Scotia has given a tree to the people of Boston as thanks for relief efforts following the explosion of a munitions ship on December 6, 1917.
