Visitors to Dahlonega celebrate the town's discovery of gold (which happened back in 1828) with a traditional festival on the square in the Historic District.

Families enjoy food, hundreds of arts and crafts vendors and hopefully the start of fall colors. The festival also includes a parade (on Saturday), a magic show and other kids' activities.
