Summer Solstice is celebrated in-person at Stonehenge in 2023, but no matter where in the world you may be located, you can tune in to view the event live on the official English Heritage YouTube channel.

Stonehenge was built to align with the sun on the solstices. On the summer solstice, the sun rises behind the Heel Stone in the north-east part of the horizon and its first rays shine into the heart of Stonehenge. On the winter solstice, the sun sets to the south-west of the stone circle

The sunset locally at Stonehenge is at 9:28 BST on Tuesday June 20; summer solstice sunrise is at 4:49am BST on Wednesday June 21.
