Los Angeles Public Library celebrates comic creators with a fun afternoon of live draw demonstrations, studio tours, and much more. Viewers have an opportunity to win a free book by one of the presenters.

Participating creators include Lucy Knisley, Varian Johnson and Shannon Wright, Michael Yates and Paul Downs, Chris Grine, Darnell Johnson, and Natalie Riess.

William Eisner was an American cartoonist, writer, and entrepreneur. He was one of the earliest cartoonists to work in the American comic book industry, and his series The Spirit was noted for its experiments in content and form. The Eisner Award was named in his honor and is given to recognize achievements each year in the comics medium.
