Brooklyn Inventgenuity Festival 2019
This festival will feature hands-on learning, technology-integrated crafts, and a site specific, community built, collaborative project.
This year’s theme is FlipNYC. Participants will get to work creating the art and learning about the engineering and animation behind the world's largest flipbooks. These kinetic sculptures tell animated stories through 100s of individual images that are rotated mechanically. Like the classic children’s toy, drawings are sequenced and create simple animations when activated.
Beam Center’s artists and makers will lead kids in workshops and demonstrations, all to raise money to support its Summer Day Camp scholarship fund.
New this year: all activities and workshops are FREE. They all FILL UP FAST! Register here.
