Long Island Fair
- see all dates
Step back into the days of old at the annual Long Island Fair. There are thousands of exhibits and blue-ribbon competitions in areas like horticulture, needlework, and agricultural skills, as well as circus acts and puppet performances.
Skilled lumberjacks will compete against one another in axe-throwing, crosscut sawing, speed pole climbing, and log rolling. Circus Dubois, Petra Puppets, and the Magic of Amore are on tap to perform.
There will be a variety of music with Gathering Time, The Old Bethpage Brass Band, and traditional musicians. Don’t miss the Grand Exhibition Hall where fellow Long Islanders have entered their best creations to vie for the Blue Ribbon.
Interactive and educational displays, as well as up close encounters with farm and exotic animals are also slated for the fair. Ride the Ferris wheel, watch Hot Glass Academy demonstrate the art of glass blowing, peruse the Craft Show, and tour the historic village.
