Festivals, Carnivals and More Things To Do in DC This Weekend With Kids

Looking for the best things to do in DC this weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your list for this weekend.
It's officially strawberry season in DC! Check out the ongoing strawberry festivals at Wegmeyer Farm and Messick's Farm. There are also lots of other festivals if you're not into strawberries. Into dogs? Check out Dog Day of May at Mount Vernon. Like cars? Check out Old Town Festival of Speed & Style. There's also Mclean Day, Anacostia River Festival, Friendship Park Spring May Fair, and the Asian Street Festival.
If your kid is into trains (I know mine is!), then check out Kids' Train Day at the National Capital Trolley Museum. If your family likes music, Family Day at Library of Congress: Musical Families might be fun to check out!
Other fun activities that will be here for almost the entire month of May are The Big Bounce America, which is essentially several giant bounce houses. You can also enjoy free music during Canal Park's May Music Series and MOCA on the Move at Met Park, which also will have food trucks and activities. It's also the last full weekend before the Art of the Brick leaves DC, don't miss it!
Enjoy the weekend!
