You Deserve a Break Today at Mommy Poppins: Win a Night Out

8/27/07 - By Anna Fader
You may have noticed a new addition to the sidebar on Mommy Poppins last week. College Nannies and Tutors is running an ad on this site and offering a great deal exclusively to Mommy Poppins readers - and just in time for The Great Fall Baby Sitter Shuffle too. Even I am looking for a new baby sitter as my son goes off to elementary school for the first time and we will cut back to part time care. But I digress. College Nannies and Tutors is holding a contest for one free "date night" coverage. That's five hours of baby sitting at no charge with one of their trained professional nannies. Free babysitting and a night out just with grown-ups - I know that's something that every one of us could use. To enter just click on the ad and a new email window should open up. Just add your name, location and children's ages and hit send. The drawing will be held at the end of the month.

If you're reading this in your feed reader, make sure to click through to the site so you can enter, and tell your friends to swing by too. There'll be a new drawing every month so make sure to keep entering. This is one contest you have a good chance of actually winning. Read more about College Nannies and Tutors. And I'll be following up with more details on finding childcare in NYC in the coming days.

Anna Fader

Founder of Mommy Poppins

A fourth-generation Brooklynite, Anna started Mommy Poppins in 2007 to help families find the best things to do with kids in NYC, with a particular emphasis on sharing activities that are free, affordable, and enriching. The site, used by millions of families, has grown to become the ultimate resource for parents in the major US cities, plus travel guides for 100s of destinations.

Anna is a believer in the magic of summer camps, traveling with kids, and that you can raise kids on a budget and still have a rich life full of amazing memories. Anna's first Mommy Poppins book, The Young Traveler's Journal and Activity Book, published in 2025 and co-written with her daughter, Amelia Eigerman, brings that ethos to life, in addition to this website.
