Instead of swapping this weekend, how about taking the kids to a wonderful movie. The Red Balloon is playing at BAM only for the next couple of weekends. The Red Balloon is a beautiful film about a boy's magical friendship with a red balloon. It is a French film, but no translation is necessary for this magical movie. I remember seeing it at The Jefferson Market Library when I was a kid and I still get chills thinking about it. It's playing in a double feature with White Mane, which I honestly don't know much about but you can read about both films in The New York Times.
