It's great to live in a state with plenty of museums aimed at kids of all ages. One such museum is Connecticut Children's Museum in West Hartford. This place has a little bit of everything, from wildlife to engineering, and can entertain a wide range of ages on a lot of different levels. The museum also boasts one of Connecticut's  many Planetariums offering multiple shows daily for a small additional fee.

Writing, like reading, is one of those skills that can take someone far in life, but it needs to be developed. If a teen already has an interest in writing, nurturing that curiousity might even turn it into a passion, like acting. When it seems like winter might never end, parents are always looking for ways to burn off cooped-up kids' energy. The Second Avenue subway is New York City’s first new subway line in more than 50 years, and yes, we're excited about it! In classrooms throughout Philadelphia, children participate in Read Across America Day, an initiative that was started to instill and promote a love for reading. Every year, this event is held on March 2nd, the birthday of beloved children's author, Dr. Seuss.
